EVENTS AROUND YOU Its Friday, 22 nd December 2017, and the much anticipated launch of the book, “We The People”, is finally here. The book launch is scheduled to hold at Sheba Centre, 20 Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja Lagos, by 6:00PM. The Author of ‘We The People’ Ololade Ajayi, reportedly promises that the event will be a thrilling literary affair packed with poetic recitals as interludes and culture enmeshed performances. GIDIJOBS LENDS A HAND TO JOB CREATION

The duo of Poise Graduate finishing academy and Gidi Jobs has set up a fair to empower youths by training graduates on employability skills and eventually connecting them with employers. This was revealed at a job fair termed Gidi Job Summit and Young Executive Job Fair 2017, which held at 277, Babs Fafunwa in Surulere on the 7 th of December 2017. The event Featured activities such as Career Planning sections, Job Interview sessions, Networking, Career Coaching session and a Job Fair. Formal Invitation to Book Launch, :WE THE PEOPLE Sequel to the successful release and readings from her book, “We The People”, at the recently concluded 2017 Lagos Book and Arts Festival, Author Ololade Ajayi is set to launch her collection of the satiric poems reflecting her orientation about the state of the Nation and depicting a deep sense of indebtedness to one’s root. WE THE PEOPLE BY OLOLADE AJAYI WE THE PEOPLE The book, “We the People” is divided into five parts namely: 1 Infamous Laments (Satires on the state of the Nation, Nigeria) 2 Lagos, the Rumi 3 Orisun, the source (poems written in Ekiti dialect) 4 Dialectical love poems and lastly 5 Faculty of " Mentaphors"  (the author’s version of metaphorical poems). PETER OBI: YOUTHS, TAKE BACK YOUR COUNTRY The former governor of Anambra state, Mr Peter Obi has sent out a message to young Nigerians to take back their country in order to change the narrative of Nigerian politics. Peter obi, who was the guest speaker alongside Dr. Kayode Fayemi at the event, spoke on changes in the global oil price and impact on Nigeria Economy. He said that statistical evidence proof that Nigeria operates an Oil dependent economy which would definitely run into problems once the sector experience global pricing issues. LABAF 2017, PANORAMA OF LITERARY FUN  The 19 th edition of the Lagos Book and Art Festival 2017, was an altogether thrilling experience, which kicked off with book readings from Authors published in 2017, reading excerpts from their books at the British Council, on Monday 6 th of November, 2017. Authors, who read from their books include Ololade Ajayi, “We The People”, Aduke Gomez “Now That I’m Here, Let Me Quickly Tell You About”, Bayo Olupohunda “Are You Not A Nigerian”, Chuma Nwokolo “The Extinction of Menai” amongst several others.
