Formal Invitation to Book Launch, :WE THE PEOPLE Sequel to the successful release and readings from her book, “We The People”, at the recently concluded 2017 Lagos Book and Arts Festival, Author Ololade Ajayi is set to launch her collection of the satiric poems reflecting her orientation about the state of the Nation and depicting a deep sense of indebtedness to one’s root. WE THE PEOPLE BY OLOLADE AJAYI WE THE PEOPLE The book, “We the People” is divided into five parts namely: 1 Infamous Laments (Satires on the state of the Nation, Nigeria) 2 Lagos, the Rumi 3 Orisun, the source (poems written in Ekiti dialect) 4 Dialectical love poems and lastly 5 Faculty of " Mentaphors"  (the author’s version of metaphorical poems). The title poem, “We The People” travels one through the journey of Nigeria, pre and post-independence, only to arrive at a destination Nigerians are yet to reach but anticipates eagerly: 2019.
