Formal Invitation to Book Launch, :WE THE PEOPLE Sequel to the successful release and readings from her book, “We The People”, at the recently concluded 2017 Lagos Book and Arts Festival, Author Ololade Ajayi is set to launch her collection of the satiric poems reflecting her orientation about the state of the Nation and depicting a deep sense of indebtedness to one’s root. WE THE PEOPLE BY OLOLADE AJAYI WE THE PEOPLE The book, “We the People” is divided into five parts namely: 1 Infamous Laments (Satires on the state of the Nation, Nigeria) 2 Lagos, the Rumi 3 Orisun, the source (poems written in Ekiti dialect) 4 Dialectical love poems and lastly 5 Faculty of " Mentaphors"  (the author’s version of metaphorical poems). LABAF 2017, PANORAMA OF LITERARY FUN  The 19 th edition of the Lagos Book and Art Festival 2017, was an altogether thrilling experience, which kicked off with book readings from Authors published in 2017, reading excerpts from their books at the British Council, on Monday 6 th of November, 2017. Authors, who read from their books include Ololade Ajayi, “We The People”, Aduke Gomez “Now That I’m Here, Let Me Quickly Tell You About”, Bayo Olupohunda “Are You Not A Nigerian”, Chuma Nwokolo “The Extinction of Menai” amongst several others. Ololade Ajayi reads from "We The People" at Freedom Park, LABAF 2017. WHEN ARTS TAKES OVER

When Arts Takes Over. Lagos state Nigeria, is going to experience a climatic atmosphere of literally jazzed events during the Lagos Book and Arts Festival (LABAF) which kicks off on Monday,  6th November 2017 and runs till sunday 12th November 2017. The lagos book and arts festival 2017 is the 19th edition of the event with the theme: "Eruptions: global fractures and common humanity".It boasts of fun filled literary activities such as a book trek, discussions around political affairs and the books of the festival, parties to celebrate literary icons who turned 70 and 60:proffesor Niyi Osundare, Oloyede amongst others. The author of the newly released satiric collection of poems "we the people", Ololade Ajayi will also be reading from her book at the Book trek event to raise awareness for the festival. This will be held at the garden of the British Council on Monday 6th november by 5:00pm.. It promises to be a refreshing as well as educative time.
