NIGERIA: CHOOSING SANITY OVER LOYALTY

 

ERICA NLEWEDIM : THE EPITOME OF SUCCESS.

On the 19^th of July 2020, a Super Star yet unknown to majority of the world entered into the Big Brother Naija’s house.  Her megawatt smile won majority of hearts over while her genuine ‘I just want to do me” attitude caused hundreds of thousands of hearts to fall to fall in love with her.

During the introductions in the house, she announced herself as a superstar who has being on Netflix, people rushed to check her out, including this writer who discovered she had loved Erica even in the movie she starred in “Hire a Woman”. From thereon it was love at hindsight for many and she has been aptly named Star Girl since inception.

As she stated in her video clip for the show “drama always follows me” indeed, drama followed her from a near involvement in a triangle love story ( the other guy felt his feelings should be considered despite her obvious romantic involvement with another housemate, KIDD WAYA)

The gang up began with other housemates taking sides with or against the duo, eventually named KIDDRICA by their fans who loved their relationship. Events culminated on the day she had a fall out form the result of the gaslighting by the supposedly entitled housemate which eventually led to her disqualification from the big brother house.

The disqualification seemed like the harbinger to her success: fans, friends, families, feminists, and sympathizers trended her on all social media platforms for three days consecutively and this brought her into another sphere of limelight as people who supported the other parties felt she was being unjustly celebrated. Her legion of fans; the Elite League however stood by her and defended her honor. This has been the relationship between them from thereon. Erica, and her elites entangled in love forever.

The golden goose (as named by veteran journalist, Dele Momodu) Erica is currently involved in shooting an action movie which has always been her dream and her desire of winning awards is being actualized as she has been getting every award she was nominated in, both international and indigenous awards in every genre.

Indeed Erica Nlewedim is the quintessence of feminine prowess as she seems to be flourishing in her acting career, ambassadorial career and also serving relationship goals. She is a source of inspiration to millions of young girls all over the world as evidenced by her previous posts on the social media app : twitter wherein she claims she will be a billionaire and her name will be on peoples lips for a long time. These words resonates today as the name Erica Nlewedim brings out powerful results when researched on the internet, for her persistence and determination has been the key to unlocking success.

Recently she was signed into a management company; upfront and personal Agency, a branch of Africa’s number one management company (one Africa global management ) and huge deals have been rolling in for her since then. The first of the deals was the Kuku’s hair ambassadorial deal, wherein she was allegedly signed for a whooping sum of Fifteen Million Naira.

Subsequently the Nigeria Breweries PLC endorsed her as a brand ambassador for their drinks “Star Radler, citrus and red fruit variant flavors” and also as a double ambassador for Legend extra stout. This is a major deal as she is the first ambassador for this brands which are known all over the country.

Alongside her beau, KIDD Terseer Waya, Erica was invited to SIERRA Leone for a 3 day trip to promote the big brother version of sierra leone: big brother salone season 2. The duo represented their brand KIDDRICA and was paid a whooping sum of two hundred and fifty million leones which is about N30,000,000. Their sierra Leonean fans were overjoyed by this and displayed their happiness in the reception given to them.

Moving forward, Erica Nlewedim has become a name to be reckoned with in Nigeria households and her fans wait with bated breath for her movie which is definitely going to be a blockbuster and sold out in minutes at cinemas all over the Nation, judging by their antecedents of her work and actions of her fans. The merch that was made was sold out in a matter of few hours, kuku’s hair website crashed from orders on the day of her endorsement announcement, star radler and legend sold out in stores immediately after her unveiling and most recently mamador elite package getting sold out immediately she teamed with the organization to organize a cooking show.

Elites, (erica’s fans) are indeed aptly named team talk and do, based on their ability to wholeheartedly support erica in all, financially and emotionally wise. The Elites had earlier raised a whooping sum of 34 million naira (72,000 USD) the prize money for the big brother winner for Erica immediately she left even before the show was over. It was a blessing in disguise that she left the house before the show was over.

Erica was born on the 13^th of march 1994 to Oby Nwokolo and Eric Nlewedim.  She is an only child and evidently the apple of her parents eyes, she however demonstrated her independent traits quiet early in life immediately she graduated from Covenant University in Nigeria at the young age of 19, she proceeded to study acting at the London Met Film school in the United Kingdom after a brief stint in a modelling career. She had been the face of various brands in that period as well as winning the miss photogenic category in the year 2014 most beautiful girl in Nigeria organized by Silverbird Television. .

Brands she has worked with and modeled for includes Peak milk, Glo, Acces bank, Zaron cosmetics, Darling hair, amongst a host of others.  In 2019, erica produced her short film : MercyMercy on you tube, prior to this she had starred in several other movies. She started her foundation in 2018 which aims at feeding one thousand people during the festive season.

Undoubtedly, Erica Nlewedim is the next big thing to happen to Nollywood and also a sensation to behold in the entertainment industry as she is a versatile individual.
