Re: Matters of Insubordination and lack of adherence to due process perpetuated by the GMD NNPC, Mr. Maikanti Baru.

Dear Mr. President,

I’m writing this Memo to you according to the dictates of my heart, and I pray it meets you in good condition, hopefully on your return from the other room.

 You would recall Sir, that on the 30^th of august 2017, I, Ibe kachikwu, Minister of State for Petroleum, alleged that Dr. Maikanti Baru, the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation adulterated my office by awarding some major contracts worth about $25 billion without letting me in on the deals as well as making one-sided appointments without recourse to the NNPC board which i happen to chair.

Imagine my shock Sir! Seeing all those NNPC press release about appointments pop out as twitter highlights whenever I accidentally open my account added some dozen years to my age.

I want it to be on record, that I refuse to tolerate this level of impudence, you’d be familiar sir, as a fellow Nigerian, who is used to being respected that one cannot afford to be stripped of an iota of reverence one is entitled to.

I therefore implore you to forget, for a minute, the fact that this administration is  supposedly a democratic establishment and give a military fiat ordering  the GMD NNPC, Dr. Baru (P.S also forget he’s from your catchment area) to forfeit my former seat as GMD, reverse all appointments and contracts to status quo.

Declaration of Loyalty:

I urge you to conduct a litmus test for the integrity of this cabinet members Sir, because I think the Vice President is in on the community joke, (he termed the contracts as loans sir, loans!) maybe another 100 days paid for medical vacation will be enough distraction to Nigerians while we settle these allegations and expose the lack of follower-ship of your anti-corruption crusade.

This may in turn give me the opportunity of occupying my rightful place at the helm of the NNPC affairs as the Minister of petroleum, (they call me the unconstitutionally recognized portfolio Minister, imagine!), a seat you know I highly covet  but can do nothing about because of my loyalty to you Sir.
